Pat Arnell purchased these animals on motorcycles from entertainer and visual artist Robert Shields. Shields rose to fame in the early 1970s as a mime. He left the entertainment industry in the 1980s and retired to Sedona, Arizona, at which time he began producing visual art including paintings and sculpture.
Pat Arnell decided that it would be fun to have the animals on motorcycles move along a track for the installation in The Mini Time Machine’s Enchanted Realm. She commissioned Ron and April Gill to create a Southwest Façade as a setting for the display.
