Mouse Habitats, Pat Arnell, 1980s

Pat Arnell collected the mice while in Oxford, England. She decided to make a series of roomboxes, one room for each mouse, with the idea that each room would reflect the mouse’s interests. Since the residence are mice, Pat decided that they would furnish their rooms with items they found lying around. For example, materials from the human world such as matchbook covers and needlepoint scraps are repurposed as wallpaper.
