Summer Camp 2017 Session 2 Ancient World (ages 8–12)

June 5–9, 2017 from 1pm–4pm.Discover the ancient Roman town of Pompeii, frozen in time since the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in A.D. 70. Build a diorama that explores Pompeii as an archeological site.  Learning about volcanic activity and archeology, students build a miniature version of the once “sleeping giant” volcano and the city ruins beneath it. Create miniature replicas of archaeological tools, and the everyday objects – pottery, sculptures, food, and jewelry – discovered intact by archeologists. $125 per child/…
