This is a box-framed composition featuring an Elf Owl and its baby perched on a saguaro cactus. (Fun fact: The Elf Owl is the smallest species of owl in America!)

Participants will receive resin castings of the owls and the cactus, all derived from my original sculptures. Through instruction in acrylic painting techniques, students will learn to bring this charming scene to life. Using very fine brushes, they will detail the owls and cactus, with special attention given to sculpting the adult owl's feet directly onto the cactus.

Additionally, we will experiment with bristle fibers to simulate thorns on the cactus. Each participant will receive a full framing kit, ensuring they leave the class with a professionally finished product ready to adorn their wall.
