Miniature artisans, model makers and artists working in miniature and residing in Tucson or the surrounding area are invited to submit a proposal to display their work in The Mini Time Machine Museum’s Community Corner in 2022. Two exhibit opportunities are available.

Call for 2022 Community Corner Exhibitions

This call is open to miniature artisans, model makers, and artists working in miniature and residing in Tucson or the surrounding area for work to be displayed in the Community Corner at The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures located at 4455 E. Camp Lowell Dr. Tucson, AZ 85712. Two exhibition periods are open: May 24, 2022 through September 11, 2022 or September 13, 2022 through January 15, 2023.

  • Individuals or groups are invited to apply.
  • Arist(s) must reside in Tucson or the surrounding area.
  • Original scratch-built miniatures in any format will be considered.
  • 2D work must not exceed 3” in height or width.
  • 3D work must not exceed 22” in any direction.
  • Model kits will only be considered if they have been altered (i.e., kit bashed) to create a new unique presentation.
  • Work with light, sound or moving parts must be hardwired with standard outlet plugs. Cords must be at least 6 feet long and have quick release.
  • Delivery and insurance to and from the exhibit are the responsibility of the artist. Work will be insured while on display. Shipped work must make use of a sturdy, reusable container suitable for this purpose.
  • Miniatures must be ready to display. The exhibitor should include specific instructions for any unusual display methods.
  • All pieces must remain on display throughout the duration of the exhibit.
  • Pieces may be available for sale. The museum will retain a 20% commission on all sales.

How to Apply:

Proposals should be emailed to TMTM Executive Director and Curator, Lisa Hastreiter-Lamb at with the subject line 2022 Community Corner Proposal. The following items should be included:

  1. Please submit 3-6 jpegs showing examples of your work. Label images with a number and artist’s name. Include a corresponding numbered list with title, dimensions, medium and year created. Indicate sale price or Not for Sale with an insurance value.
  2. In 250 words or less describe the scope of the work you would like to exhibit. Proposal should include a theme, content, how many pieces are available for display and display requirements (i.e., work is electrified, has sound or moving components, special installation instructions, etc.).
  3. Include your contact information including email address, mailing address, and phone number and website or social media links if available.

Delivery of work: One week prior to opening of exhibit
