The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures (TMTM), a true gem of an eclectic collection in Tucson, Arizona, seeks an Executive Director to lead the Museum with strategic vision, creativity, and organizational acumen while charting new pathways for growth and engagement. TMTM offers visitors an experience rooted in history and imagination through a remarkable, founder-originated collection of miniature displays and imaginary environments. Entering a new chapter in its fifteen-year history, The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures is housed in an impressive facility on iconic desert grounds and plans to leverage its solid financial foundation to build new partnerships and programs across disciplines that will captivate, engage, and inspire future generations.

The new Executive Director will be an entrepreneurial and energetic leader who understands museum administration and board development and has a track record of successful strategic re-visioning, relationship-building, and innovative programming to move the Museum forward in terms of visibility, relevancy, and community engagement. The Director must be skilled in integrated team management and possess the emotional intelligence, approachability, and sensitivity required to lead and empower staff members to excel in their work, collaborating with the Board to promote best practices in governance. The Director will be an exceptional communicator, build productive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and tell the story of the Museum and its mission in a fun and engaging manner that builds bridges between history and the present while activating the collection to create relevance and engagement with real-world issues, topical subjects, and living artists. 

REQUIRED: 5-7 years relevant experience in an art museum or related capacity, MA preferred, demonstrated record of successful museum management and board development experience.
